reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 5:13-16
Jesus said to his disciples: “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lamp stand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” The Gospel of the Lord. i chose that reading because it means a lot to me. It also shows how much you love the person. And also how much you love God mad respect God and want gods help in the relationship. reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark 10:6-9 Jesus said: “From the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” The Gospel of the Lord. i chose this because it shows the comparison between the bonding of flesh in marriage and also love for God. Becoming one flesh is one of the rites of marriage and it is very important 1 john 14 i chose this reading because it shows how grateful we are for gods love and how much we appreciate him in our lives and this world and how much he is needed in our lives. |
